In an era where convenience and technology intersect more than ever, CHOP Butchery is leading the charge with an innovative solution that's changing the way we think about fresh food access. We're excited to share that our new 24-hour fresh meat vending machines have not only made their debut at select locations but have also caught the attention of the John Stanley Show/Podcast, a testament to the buzz they're creating.
About the Machines
Located outside our butcheries, these vending machines offer a seamless way for customers to purchase fresh meat around the clock, catering to those who might find our traditional opening hours limiting. This initiative was born out of a desire to provide unparalleled service and accessibility to our customers, ensuring that quality meat is available whenever you need it.
Currently, these machines are available at two locations in the Northern Beaches—St. Ives Village and Forest Way in Frenchs Forest—and one in East Maitland, catering to a diverse range of customers, including those with demanding schedules like our fly-in, fly-out workers in the Hunter Newcastle region.
Featured on the John Stanley Show
During a recent feature on the John Stanley Show, our co-founders, David and Tanya Lonell, delved into the concept behind these vending machines. They highlighted how this innovation not only extends our service hours but also supports our commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance for our team, without compromising on the quality and freshness of our products.
The vending machines, designed and built with Australian ingenuity in Queensland, are equipped with custom shelving and software to accommodate our unique packaging. This ensures that the meat you get from the machine is just as fresh and high-quality as what you'd purchase over the counter.

Final Thoughts
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with even the local mayor of St. Ives sharing his appreciation for the convenience it brings to the community. As we continue to expand, we plan to include these vending machines in all new CHOP stores and incorporate them into our existing locations during refurbishments.
This innovation is not just about convenience; it's a reflection of CHOP's dedication to adapting and evolving in a rapidly changing world, ensuring we continue to meet and exceed our customers' expectations.
Stay tuned for more exciting developments from CHOP Butchery, where quality meets convenience like never before.
